Deconstructed Jacket/ Day 4

What is the purpose of this project? Can you tell us what you have done to engage in the design progress in this project? What is successful about the work in progress so far? What aspect of the project could be further developed?

1A: The purpose of the project, especially for two weeks, is to explore and train our observation skills in a deeper way of critical thinking. In which, we can be able to combine with the skill of capturing silhouette that we learned from the previous project, "Your Surroundings". So far, I would not said is fully successful since I have not discover enough for my garments. I got nothing to expect actually, it might either be fully deconstruct or not, but the point is where do I wants it to stop deconstructing it. It is the practice of decision and critical thinking.

2A: Feel the garments, communicate with the garment and further explore the story that it wanted to tell, is the first thing I have done in the project. Moreover, I tried to absorb slightly different details from it. Last, I took the risk trying to build unbalance design through my project. Since I know my designs are always balance, I wanted to try a new form of balance design which I called unbalance balance. This kind of initial idea comes out from my mind, force me to balance the entire outlook with slightly different objects on both side.

3A: The energy that comes out from my work is the most successful thing that I am proud of it. However, at the same time I starting worried about my logical aspect of my piece. The first impression of my work might be a huge impact, but audience might be tired after watching 5 minutes or so. It reminds me how important sketchbook is, in order to communicate audience with my working processes.

4A: To absolute unpick and rebuild the garment might be my further and last thing to do. After those process that we have been through, I get to know the identity of my garment, doing so I am not worried that I will lost the initial identity of the garment. On the other hand, I can utilized it in my work to give a new birth for the garment.
